August 28 Nocturnal Leg Cramps + Flat FeetI love wikipedia, I just do!
Thank God there are people who are willing to share their knowledge + expertise online and for FREE! LOL...
It's kinda funny how I have developed the habit to 'wikipedia' things before I'm looking for any other references... Its helps become more obvious during my internship in the hospital! So many things to 'google' and to 'wiki'!
It's kinda cool how people are able to name those illnesses. So many of them! I think I gonna need to 'rent' some more brains to put all those info!
...
I have been getting cramps on my left leg at night for many times in the past few weeks. I often awoken by the pain... And now I know the name of the 'illness': nocturnal leg cramps! "The precise cause of these cramps is unclear. Potential contributing factors are believed to include dehydration, low levels of certain minerals (magnesium, potassium, calcium, and sodium), and the reduced blood flow through the muscles attendant in prolonged sitting or lying down." (Source: Wikipedia)
Oh well... I guess it makes sense. I don't think I get enough minerals (not with those daily 'mantou' and 'coffee') and I spend almost 30 days of this month sitting down or laying down for maybe 3/4 of the day! @_@ ; I think I need to find 'healtier' occupation
Another finding... that would be about the flat feet. Never know people include it as an illness :( come on, an illness? While 20-30 % of the population having it?
I think I'm having it too, yet never see it as a problem for me to live my life 'normally' except that my shoes break down easily + my hatred for high heels (> I only love to see them > not to wear them). I feel like to buy a pair of white shoes with 'flat feet' words on them!
